Personal Blogging With A Business Twist
I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, as far as we know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the most popular weblog platform on the Internet.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, of course this is not a new idea, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, not to mention I can’t just post to them, probably I will have to pay quite dearly to have my sites promoted.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you want values for your blogs, the real content writing is time and money consuming, remember real value is always difficult to achieve. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, such as this one, Ratchet Tie Down, it’s name is pretty cute, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Check this one out, Steel Chains, this blog is themed, the content on the this site has a theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. I can show you a lot more sites, but I think you understand the basics now. Here is one last note, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, do some casual postings randomly, just like this blog, Snatch Blocks and Cable Pullers, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, add more blogs when you can, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. Of course its just the beginning, to build a successful network will be much more complicated, do remember don’t do any black hat tricks for your sites, if you get black listed there is no come back.
