3 Ab Workouts That Actually Work

Most people who are seeking out ab workouts are hoping to shed pounds while also toning and creating six pack abs. When you see fitness trainers on television, infomercials, DVDs or in fitness videos try to remember that those spokespeople spend most of their days exercising and working out and didn’t get that way by using a treadmill or other exercise machine for ten minutes a day. Of course, impressive results are possible if you make sure you do some solid ab workouts, like those we’ll talk about in this article, at least a few times every week.

Jumping rope, while being good for your entire body, is also a great and highly intense workout for your abs. Most people think of jumping rope as something that only children do but boxers in training also do it quite often as well. Boxing is a sport that requires competitors to have great endurance levels and to meet certain weight requirements and jumping rope can help with both of those things. If you decide to try it, you will be surprised by how tired you will get in the beginning and how sore your muscles get. Don’t use this as an excuse to quit, it’s proof that your body is really working and that your abs are getting a great workout.
